Ok guys I just got back from a great event. I meet some fine BOTL from CS also while I was their. I met up with Tech-ninja, dustinhayden, Lysander,a friend of dustinhayden, (I am terrible with names, sorry) and Mr. Green Jeans, (I will let Tech-ninja explain that one ) These were some great guys. Tech-ninja gifted me a nice cigar and a baby blanket for my new son that is due in January. Thanks Tech-ninja and my wife says thank you also.

This is an annual event every year. We got to meet Litto Gomez, Orlando Padron, and reps from Fuente, La Gloria Cubana, Fonseca, Ashton,CAO and a few others I can not remember.

We got to roll cigars with the folks from La Gloria Cubana Cigars, Roberto Ferriro a Cuban Master Roller. He was very nice guy and amazing to watch.

I came in second out of probably 300 people that rolled in the best Torcedor Contest. This was a one shot deal with your first try at rolling.

We had some great BBQ with all the fixings.

I won a sampler from La Flor De Dominica. I also got lots of other free stuff, a few cigars, hat, key chain, etc.

Overall it was a great event and got to met some great guys from CS also which was awesome. I hope we can get together again soon. RJT

Ok... so I smoked my first cuban today courtesy of RJT (thanks again!). I'm pretty new to cigars, but this was definately the best cigar I've ever smoked (Juan Lopez #1 I believe). Anyway, about half way through, the buzz starts hitting me. But this thing tastes so good I just can't put it down. With about 1/4 left... I have to set it down. It had put a hurting on me. I go drink another cup of tea and splash some water on my face in the restroom and it's all good.

I'll admit it... I'm a lightweight. But give me some time... I'll catch up to you guys

All in all, it was a great day. Met some great people. Bought an Ashton sampler and won a La Flor Dominicana sampler (got Litto to sign that one for me).

OK, so Chad (Spooble) and I get there and start to get some BBQ, we find Rob (RJT) at the table and sit and talk for a while. Rob gifts us with a Juan Lopez #1 and we hang out for a little while. Then we figure we need to hang out our shingle so we can find the other guys. So we get the sign out of my car and set it up and sit around it.



It was amazing how many people were drawn to the sign. Some just pointed from afar and some came over to sit and talk.

There was a lot of stuff going on. Good deals all over the place!
We got to meet Orlando Padron and Litto Gomez.

I was having Orlando sign my hat and was telling him that I liked his cigars and appreciated him being here, and he reaches in his suit and pulls out a PAM 26 and says "Try this one, light it up after dinner". Awesome! The man gifts me a cigar! Here we are.

Then there was the cigar rolling. Rob got second place in the contest. The first place winner won a LGC humi and cigars that was selling the shop for $590!
