The Amazing Padron Anniversario...

Big Fame One's unusual experiece with the Anniversario made me want to post about these cigars.

The rolling - I don't think there is any finer. The leaf texture is like silk. The draw is always to perfection. But the taste is so sweet and beyond compare. I usually find myself having one after dinner - since it is almost dessert like.

You really have to hand it to the Padrons for setting out to accomplish something - and then carry it through. The Fuentes have always gotten the spotlight and the accolades, but the Padrons are certainly to be commended for sticking to their core values and delivering the best.

People complain about the availability, but the quality would surely suffer. It just sucks dishing out that much money for smokes. That's the only drawback.

And, I've met Jorge in person and he's so personable and humble. I've hung with the Fuentes as well, and trust me - there aren't friendlier people on this planet. Carlos talked to me for a half an hour before a Big Smoke event in NY, as we both enjoyed OPUS X's. But the Fuentes have almost acquired "rock-star" status in the industry. The Padrons however stay quiet and humble and just keep bettering thier products all of the time.

I'm a marketing and advertising consultant and I look at companies as a whole. On all levels - Product, sales, marketing and PR - the Padron family has done it right.

I have an Anniversario Diplimatico box signed by the whole family. Now that's another story for another post. You won't BELIEVE that one!

Do I sound like a Padron fan? Hells yeah! Hail to Nicaragua!

Might not hurt to emulate the Padron family for a while.

No, I wasn't kidding. I had no idea we had a member called big fame one. I even searched it lol.

I like padron's. But you said it yourself. It sucks dishing out that much money for one. Especially since I like cuban cigars that cost less so much more.

OK, full metal jacket going back on the hanger.

Where in Jersey are you?
I'm up north west in Jefferson Township near Lake Hopatcong.

I had a Padron Fumas last week and it was excellent for a short filler stick. I wish these were more available and I would buy a box..

Ya know, I don't have very much trouble finding PAM or PANs, especially the '64s. The '26s are a little harder to locate and the 40th Anni or the Millenium... a scavenger hunt! Now affording to buy as many as I want to smoke is a different story!

You'll definitely find them online - somewhere - but at what price are you willing to go into debt for?

But damn, I love them.
