What do you guys think?

As a nice summery drink I've been having some homeade ice tea with my afternoon or evening cigar. Depending on the day its been mixed with some Jack, or Southern Comfort, but with fall and winter just around the bend, I was wondering if you guys had any suggetions of warmer suggetions, either teas or coffees, to try while smoking? Thanks in advance to all my BOTL out there.

Coffee has been my go to on the weekends; the fresher the better! You can even roast your own! http://www.clubstogie.com/vb/showthread.php?t=19523

Re: What do you guys think?

Tea parings must be done with milder sticks. It does work pretty well though. Black coffee or espresso works wonders. Scotch and/or drambuie make a nice pairing IMO. Mixing the two makes the lovely Rusty Nail.

How about a cup of hot chocolate and a Java.

Try things out and give us a full report.

Re: What do you guys think?

I would recommend good old room temperature Guinness. Or if you prefer tea, earl grey works good for me with most cigars. Also, celestial seasonings makes a tea called "morning thunder". it's a combination of tea mixed with yerba mate, an herb that south americans brew and drink as a morning beverage. Of course , if you're in a holiday mood, there's always wassail. If you are from the northeast/new england you'll know what this is, otherwise just google it. I'm sure you'll find some interesting (boozy) recipes. cheers

Re: What do you guys think?

Why not some good old hot coco? With a good maddy it is a great pairing. Smokepiper has it nailed in that aspect.

Cognac warms the insides.

Re: What do you guys think?

If you want heat, and a little kick (but, it's just a little kick), add a shot of Bailey's to your coffee. If you want the kick and no cream, try a little Bush Black in the coffee. The Irish whiskey taste, but no cream. I prefer it with the Bailey's, personally!

Re: What do you guys think?

You already like Southern Comfort.

Add the Southern Comfort or Yukon Jack to some hot cocoa.

Chai tea. One of my favorite teas.

Actually, I gotta try this myself!

Re: What do you guys think?

IMO you can't beat a coffee with a good smoke. Americano with 3 shots of espresso topped up with hot water always does the trick for me. mmmmm
