It looks like they are auctioning off 50 boxes and they only have bids for 7 of them at this point......

I like those, they are a full bodied pc and that price is about 5 bucks below retail cost.

Don't mean to threadjack but:

Also from Tabacalera Tropical (Nicaragua) are Don Juan Special Cuban Blend on closeout. 20 box of Juanitos (4.5 x 46) for $23.00. I am sure they are not as strong as the Nicarao's. Good spicy cigar medium + flavor on this one.

I read the reviews and it's quite apparent the 3 people were not happy at all.

I used to hear the burn prolems a lot with Tabacalera's products( I used to rep for them), all of their cigars(other than the bundled stuff)has a a double binder. So I found you really need to make sure the cigar is lit, to make sure it burned well.

That's why they make so many cigars. Different strokes for different folks.

Re: Nicarao Minuto Auction

The Nicarao I tried refused to burn. Constant relights really turn me off but it did have a unique flavor. Not necessarily good or bad, but very different from most cigars.

Re: Nicarao Minuto Auction

I don't mind a double binders are not all that bad considering some of the cigars I have had that you have to be so careful with just to smoke them. That becomes a pain if you are out in the wind and the damn thing burns up before you can even smoke it. A double binder can make a cigar last in bad smoking conditions like rain and wind. So, if you are always just gonna be in a nice leather couched smoking room ...great more power to ya! Some of us smoke in all kinds of weather and conditions.
Just remember ....the typical cigar is for typical smokers...Some cigars are made precisely for their unique blends and what happens to those blends as they age.

Re: Nicarao Minuto Auction

Thanks for the heads-up G-Man, I really like these guys (finding a satisfying NC PC is tough). Getting them at a good price is almost as much fun as beating Tennessee at home by 1 .
