How to pronounce "Cibao"?
Hi,
I won a sampler of Cibao Invictos on CB last night. Do any of you know how to pronounce "Cibao". I believe the name comes from a region in the Dominican Republic. --emelbee |

Is that Portuguese?
I'm guessing CHEE-bow. The CHEE is half way to a SHEE and bow as in bow of a ship.

i think im right in saying spanish is spoken in the DR. wouldn't that then mean the "ci" makes a THEE sound (or SEE depending on accent)?
