Matches

I that most folks here probably use a lighter to light their cigars, but I still prefer wooden matches. Whenever I find some at a store, lounge or whatever, I snag a few extra boxes so that I have 'em for a while
My question to you all is do you buy a supply of matches from any shops online or anything like that?

I did a quick search online and much like I expected, places that sell matches sell them in huge bulk.

So, where do you all get matches, if that's your prefered method of lighting up ?

Re: Matches

I would think your local supermarket has them. I have boxes everywhere, just in case. I usually use a torch.

I use a torch because I have to. If I could use matches, they would be my first choice.

Re: Matches

i would much prefer to use matches for my cigars and pipes, when i get a chance i use extra long cooks matches, however due to most of my smoking being done outside i have to use a torch or other form of ignition.

Re: Matches

I use a torch most of the time but every now and again I use wooden matches.

I however do not buy them, my B&M usually gives me a pretty good amount when I buy some stogies.

Re: Matches

I use a butane lighter or a torch. Never used a match before. Might have to give it a try.

Re: Matches

I like to get stick matches from Wal-Mart. They sell them in packages of small boxes, so they're easy to carry with you. If I'm smoking at home, though, I really like kitchen matches. My B&M throws in a book of matches whenever I make a purchase, but I don't care much for those.

Re: Matches

CI and CBid used to send them with orders but stopped. My B&M used to supply them with every purchase but they stoped doing that also; now they only supply book matches with every purchase. I use torch lighters so, I really don't miss using them.

Re: Matches

I don't have the patience to light up with matches, I seem to go through so many matches to get a light. I do keep some around as backup, which are just bought from a supermarket.

Re: Matches

Im a wooden match fanatic. If I have to use a lighter, it is butane. Save the zippo for lighting camp fires

I have had trouble finding regular strike anywhere matches. Everyone seems to want you to use those strike on box jobs. Oh well.
