Help, Package Stolen

I came home from school today to hopefully find my padron 3000 box in and my 4 hemingway work of art that I ordered from seriouscigars, but no package was there. So, I thought maybe they haven't delivered it yet, but then I logged on and checked the tracking number and it said it was delivered at 12:04PM, so now i have no idea what to do. All I can say is that I am not very happy because I also had one hell of a day at school. And that money I spent on those cigars was about all that I had left for cigars for awhile. So, I guess I need some help on what to do. I know I should contact fedex to make sure, but is there anything else I can do.

Re: Help, Package Stolen

Had same problem w/ a CBid shipment sent by DHL. I called cigarsinternational and told them the situation. CI contacted DHL and started a trace. No idea what happened to the box, but CI offered to send out another order or refund.

Re: Help, Package Stolen

Just got off the phone with fedex and said they will give me a call and see if they can locate the package, and they told me to call serious cigars and he told me to hold off a couple of days because fedex probably didn't delivery it to the right house, but for some reason I have that feeling that the package was stolen. I have had some problems in this neighborhood, it is a pretty nice neighborhood, but my car has been broken into twice, so I think that is why I have this feeling.

Re: Help, Package Stolen

You can call FedEx (1-800-463-3339) and verify the address they were delivered to. Sometimes a FedEx driver (or UPS and DHL) will accidently leave a package at the wrong location, it will get mixed in with other stuff. If they left it at the wrong address they will pick it up and re-deliver. If they left it at the correct address than contact your vendor and explain what happened to it. They can put a trace on it and probably will ship a replacement.

Re: Help, Package Stolen

Well, ask around to see if anyone held it for you. Ask the carrier if the package was insured. You might have to wait a day for things to shake down. If nothing by tomorrow, call up Serious and ask them about shipping/insurance.

I hope all goes well, let us know.

Re: Help, Package Stolen

Sorry to hear that. What I try and do it to make sure the package requires a signature. That way they can not just drop the box off and leave. Not all venders will do this and sometimes it costs a little more. Not much help with this package, but might stop problems with orders later on.

Hopefully it will turn up, or you get a replacement.

Re: Help, Package Stolen

Consider the following: Delivery companies recycle tracking numbers. I thought that my last order was missing in action also, until I checked the delivery address and realized that the delivery had gone to Maryland and month earlier. Certainly worth calling about, but look to see where your sticks were delivered to before losing your mind.

Re: Help, Package Stolen

Well since I am pretty ticked off and haven't had a cigar in a couple of days, I am going to drive down to my favorite b&m and go get something special, even though I really don't have the money I need something great tonight. So I am either going to go with a rp old world reserve, cao soprano, or a padron 1964. But if they have a 1926(which at the moment is the best cigar I have ever had, the ones I mentioned above are good but nothing like the 26 for me) I will definitely get one of those and hopefully forgot about all the stress today. Thanks so far from everyone helping me out and giving me ideas.

heh... everytime I see this topic come up, I want to say "Congradulations on your Wedding".

Go for the PAM, you need it tonight. Eat Mac N'Cheese or Top Ramen to balance it out.
