I'd have more money and spend a lot less time on the internet (well, maybe not the time part).

I wouldn't know about how to maintain proper RH.

I wouldn't have met some really cool people who live down the street and in totally different places in the country (and world).

I wouldn't be reading articles on the health of fidel castro.

I would probably be over-paying for cigars at my local B&M and would trust everything I read it CA.

I would have never found tatuajes and padron anniveraries and would have probably given up smoking as I couldn't find anything I actually liked after starting out with cubans in the caribbean (DR montecristos and cohibas are not very good).

just some thoughts that came to my head - wouldn't be up at 2:45am writing posts on an internet forum when I should be working on job applications.

I would have been happy with Famous Bundles and the occasional Fuente... instead I found the dark side...

Re: What if Club Stogie didn't exist?

Let's see ... I'd probably still be using my Xikar cutter and a Bic lighter.

I already knew a little about NCs but I've learned so much more. Probably would have taken me a a lot longer to discover Tatuaje's.

Then, of course, there is the dark side. So many new things to learn and enjoy!

BEST of all ... all of you apes. Before I came to CS, I could count the number of cigar smokers I knew on one hand. I felt sort of strange being a cigar smoker. Now ... I still feel strange ... but I know I'm not alone.

Re: What if Club Stogie didn't exist?

I guess 3 are a givin now...
get more done at work
get more done at home
have more cashola...

When I joined up I already had a decent collection NCs and CCs and had been into the leaf about seven yrs.
The vast amount of knowlege here was and is exhilarating and really helped fuel the passion for cigars.
Having never been on a web forum, except CA which is really dead in comparison,I did'nt know what to expect. So when I signed up and got the responses that all the new folks get it is was like, wow! This is a real "club" here!
If I never joined CS,I would still love my cigars but as with anything someone has a passion for its always more fun to share said pasion with others CS has been a vehicle for alot of awsome folks to be able to get together, greatly enriching their lives!Life is short so thanks to our beloved admin and mods for making all this possible...

Re: What if Club Stogie didn't exist?

I wouldn't have learned nearly as much, in as short a period of time as I have regarding cigars.
I would probably have more spare time to devote to other hobbies, habits, interests
I would probably have made many dumb cigar purchases
I would probably have missed many good cigar purchases
I would have missed out on an awful lot of very good cigar smoking experiences.
All in all, I'm glad I found this place too.

I'd have more credit, more money, and would be completely satified owning a 150 count humi with nothing but NC's.

If Club Stogie didn't exist, then it would be necessary to create it.

Re: What if Club Stogie didn't exist?

  1. I wouldn't know about the "darkside"
  2. I wouldn't have met a bunch of great guys at the Mahogany herf , and one chick !
  3. I wouldn't have learned so much so fast anywhere else about cigars .
  4. Bank account would have more money if it weren't for reason #1 !
  5. And finally , I would probably get a little more sleep .
Nice thread .

Re: What if Club Stogie didn't exist?

without CS, i'd still be smoking about cigar per week or so.... not 3-4 like I am now I'd have a few less charges on my credit card, and i'd still only have one humidor hahaha.

seriously though, CS has been a cool place to hang out, share some thoughts, and hear others' thoughts. quite a nice community and i'm very glad i found it

I'd have more money, but my enjoyment would not be as great. I'd be much less knowledable.
