Re: How many frequent their local cigar shop?

I go to mine to try ciagrs that I haven't tried before. Their selection is pretty good, but they can be kinda slow getting the new stuff. I also buy a box from them every once in a while. Ouch! It hurts! I usually end up paying 32 buck more of a box than I would if I ordered online. But I think it's important to support a local B&M even if it's out of my way. Oh, the couches are nice too.

I visit mine once and a while. A friend of mine owns the one I go to all the time.

I usually buy all my magazines and sometimes some lighter fluid from him. Once and awhile I will buy a Padron or Opus from him.

I also like sitting outside and conversing with the old timers about cigars and their stories.

I'm just now exploring all of the B&Ms around town. We have a pretty good selection of them here.

Try to show a local shop by my office some love at least once a week. Not the all time friendliest but I figure if I keep coming around they will warm up. Bunch of old guys.

If I had to guess from you icon I'd say you're in Charlottesville, and I hate to say it, but C'ville has a great selection of B&M's.

Re: How many frequent their local cigar shop?

Prices are a bit high at mine, but the two gals who own it are great. I try to stop by once every week or two, to smoke a single at the store. Shoot the chit with the owners or some customers who come in to spread out on the leather chairs in front of the plasma TV. Not all that much a want to try, I just consider it a social visit and a contribution to the local B&M making it.

There are three or four good ones in town. I make the rounds of them all at least once a month or so.

Visit mine every Saturday or Sunday. There's always something else I want to buy!

Re: How many frequent their local cigar shop?

Yep I hit mine once or twice a week on average. I buy my stuff almost exclusively from him because his prices are usually pretty close to online prices and I know how well they have been taken care of/no shipping to worry about. I also buy mostly singles with the exception of 1 full box and one box split...

Re: How many frequent their local cigar shop?

As my B&M sells mainly ISOMS, which are way over priced, I only visit to pick up a single if I feel I deserve it or just want to treat myself, or I sometimes just drop in for a pack of RyJ or Davidoff minis. If my B&M was similar to the ones you guys frequent I imagine I'd spend quite a bit of time there.

Buying online is great for box/bundle purchases, but I think I still want the personal touch for trying something new.
Yes of course. Always nice to have an indoor place with a few comfy chairs to make lighting up a bit more pleasant.

Re: How many frequent their local cigar shop?

I've visit a few local shops a couple times a month. I've gotten to know the owners and enjoy talking "cigars" with the guys that frequent there.

Re: How many frequent their local cigar shop?

I try to stop by at least every other week, but sometimes, like last week, I was at both of them twice. I find it easer to try new things by going to the B&M rather than order singles on the net, not to mention with shipping it’s just as cheep to go local. Now box quantities I go to the net.
