Saint Luis Rey Robustos(NC)

I won 2 fivers of these back in the spring.I'd tried the rothchilds and really enjoyed them, and was looking forward to smoking these.I've tried to smoke about 5 of them but have had consistent burn problems, ranging from canoeing to a wrapper so flame resistant that it will be used next season in the NHRA for drivers suits.Anyone else have problem with these sticks like this?

Ive never had these smokes but it sounds like you may have RH problems (which would at least account for the uneven burn). How have they been stored and where did you smoke them (ie was it very windy, humid, etc)?

Ive been smoking the rothschilds lately, but had a few robustos a few months back, didnt experience any of the problems you described with either of them.

I actually had one of these last night and it was really good. I did not have any burn problems. One of the best cigars I've had recently, which include SLR's, Short Stories, Joya de Nic's, etc...

They are in a coolerdor sitting at 65-70 deg and between 65/68 per Humidity.I've got other sticks stored in it that haven't displayed similar problems.

I have had a few and found them to be very good for the price.

Re: Saint Luis Rey Robustos(NC)

I've smoked a few of these, and I founf them to all be a bit hit-and-miss...some were good, others were terrible. and the bands were all put so tight they ripped the wrapper....
