This thing is pretty neat. I just bought one that was not in as nice condition but still kind of neat to put some cigars in and keep on my desk.

As always, one must be careful when bidding on the "rare" items on ebay.

Not trying to discredit this particular jar, as it may in fact be originial from it's stated era, just trying to make everyone aware that you can get jars like this from alternate sources. I took my first trip to Tampa Humidor about 2 weeks ago, and noticed the same type of jar there, I believe from RyJ.

I'd contact Tampa Humidor just to compare prices if you're really interested. FYI, I picked up this jar while I was there, and man does it have some weight to it! Glass thickness reminded me of the glass insulators used on power poles back in the day(yeah, showing my age, blah, blah, blah...)
