Buena Consecha ****...

Got my order of Buena Consecha's in from holts today.. Smoked one right out of the box, and what can I say, TXMatt was right about em.. They are NICE. They were a bit wet, but I plan on dryboxing one and smoking one tommorow.. I trusted TXMatt's advice on cheap smokes for a while now, and every one of em have been great... Well, I jumped big time on this, 4 packs of the robustos for $2.95... So I bought 10 of them.. 40 robustos for $34.50 shipped....

I bought a bunch of those and I can't believe what you get for the money.

And it ain't a couple of knuckleheads like you and me, Scott, that are recomending this stuff.

I posted last night about the Brahma from Holts. I thought it was awesome. the Condega Connecticuts are a few shekels more and are a little finnicky (fragile connecticut wrapper and a good bit of ammonia off the truck) but they are fantastic. Interesting contrast visually when you look at it, with that light connecticut wrapper, and the foot is so much darker when you look at the filler.

Anyway, lets just stop talking about these smokes - it will leave more for us right!

And I am gonna break your heart here when I tell you the Churchills in the Buena Cosechas are even better than the robustos.

I believe it, but something about robustos has me ordering em.. I can't wait to try a dry one tommorow.. It was tasty!

Those BCs are good...just went through a couple dozen over the last few weeks. The Don Juans were even better, but it looks like the Juanitos are all gone now. sigh
