Texas State Fair - Cigar Rolling Demo

Just thought I give a heads up for all you fellow Texans out there who are going to the state fair. Check out the cigar rolling demo at the Chrysler car area in the Centennial Building. I went to it and watched a guy roll cigars while another guy gave a little history and information about cigars. The whole thing lasted about an hour and I got a free cigar that the guy rolled.

I believe it only goes on Friday-Sunday. On Fridays they have demos at 4:00p, 5:30p and 7:00p, but I don't know about Saturday or Sunday as I went on Friday. The rolling and the cigar information was pretty basic stuff, but it's worth going to at least for the cigar.

Damn, they do this at the Ren Festival too. Too bad I wont be going up to Dallas anytime soon. I did however get to check out the Round Rock Pipeworld and wow, what a nice shop.

Nope, haven't smoked it yet. I figured I'd give it a little time to rest.

I went to a rolling event hosted by Torano. I got 4 hand-rolled smokes. The roller and shop owner suggested I smoke them ASAP. Let me tell you, the first was better than the last (6-day span). Light that bad boy up!

Wife and I are planning on going to the Ren Fest this year (it just started) so I'm hoping they're rolling when we get there.

I got to go to a Torano event with a roller this year too and the freshly rolled smokes (Casa Toranos) were awesome right then. He had rolled the binder/filler the night before and the wrapper in front of my eyes. I only got three sticks and smoked two of them that night. I gave the third to a neighbor who I persuade to smoke with me sometimes (even though it gets him in trouble with his wife).
