Yep, I've never been happier since I gave up the interstates and started taking the state and county roads. The heart of Texas is rich, varied and at times memorable.

Bah, the River Walk is for tourists!!! Heh, I've done the River Walk thing so many times I'll not go back unless I'm sorely tempted. Threre are plenty of delights in San Antonio that are off the beaten path. I'm starting to warm up to this city, but no city will ever take the place of Houston in my heart.

I still like the riverwalk for my one or two trips per year. But, I don't shop, I just enjoy the food, drink and watching the people! Zuni's is great!
