There was one I didn't like at all though, it was the La Flor Dominicana "Factory Press" the really wide one. I had so much trouble keeping it lit, it wasn't worth it.

Yeah... I don't know why, but I just like a box press. I smoke a lot of Indian Tabac, Sancho Panza, Patel, and Padron sticks. The box press just feels comfortable in my hand.

They do burn better if you make sure they're rested and humidified well... if not, they tend to burn funky around the corners and all. I also don't keep the cigar in my mouth a lot, so the shape doesn't annoy me there.

I like them. Padron and Sancho Panzas come out very well that way. Makes it easier to stack them in my humi.

Note: while looking for a pic I noticed the newer exponentes don't seem to be as pressed as the ones I purchased previously. Has anyone noticed this on recently purchased P squareds?

I love box pressed cigars.

The Sancho Panza Double Maduro's are some of my favorite and definatly have an easy draw making tons of smoke.

I concur with Techmetalman, very easy to know how far you've rotated it, since the almost rectangular shape makes it both easy and fun! Not so much fun, but you get the idea.

I'm impartial. as long as the cigar tastes good, I'm happy. Of course, i did like the triangle press of the Trilogy line. fit well in the fingers, and it was a great convo starter with the ladies.

Re: Any Box Square Box Press Fans

My only problem with the box press is that it seems to affect the lighting and initial burn of sticks I have had. I also had an IT Maduro corona which was box pressed and the draw was awful on it. I had to cut it more and that didn't do a whole lot of good.

I like the feel and burning qualities of box pressed cigars. Also, I am a fan of certain blends that happen to be box-pressed.

IT SF Toro Mad (didn't like any other vitola - just the toro )

LFD Factory Press

Mayorga Mads

IP Brickk

To name a few. I would like them if they weren't box-press, though.

Agree 1926 and 64s generally have a great draw and are amongst my favorites. Love these box pressed sticks.....Steve
