Maine proposed smoking ban

This is a discussion on Maine proposed smoking ban within the General Cigar Discussion forums, part of the The Cigar Lounges at Puff category; I don't smoke around my kids anyway, but can really legislate against a lack of common sense? http://www.seacoastonline.com/news/1...e-smoking.html...

Re: Maine proposed smoking ban

Don't worry, pretty soon we will having regulating the portions of food you can give to children. Smoking laws are like private property rights. They are the first ones taken when the government wants to control its citizens. Any government which does not allow for sensible locations and means for people to smoke act in the same way as governments which confiscate private property. Anti-smoking laws I am starting to see are an issue of disrespect from the government same as unjustifiable private property seizures.

Unfortunately, many will not see this until it is too late...
