My younger sister was out visiting Fordham Univ. in NY. She and the 'rents stopped by Arthur Ave in the Bronx and found a cigar shop that was hand rolling cigars. Picked me up a set of four. Gonna let them sit in the humi for a bit, but they look and smell tasty!

saw this post and had to jump on it, I go to Arthur Ave quite a bit mostly to eat, and shop, but occasionally pick up some stogies from La Casa Grande. The smokes they make are really good, I've actually been to a few weddings where they've rolled. I would let them sit for a few months, but they are damn good smokes.

Excellent to hear! I wasn't sure on the quality. Now I'm even more excited to smoke these babies.

Hey man I've got that same humidor. I think it came with a sampler from J&R. I store all my Tatuaje in it at 60%.

Those babies are always a treat! I got some hand rolled cigars (done in front of me) when I was in the dominican. Wonderful smokes, and will taste just as good fresh as they would aged.

Mini review: Had the torpedo that is on top in the second picture in the OP.

Pre-light tasting: A bit earthy and woody.
Pre-light draw: Excellent, incredibly smooth.

1/3
- The earthy, woody flavor started off strong right from the beginning and continues through this third. Ash is staying strong.

2/3
- Again with the woody flavor, but not as strong through this third, it kind of mellows out here. Ash still continuing to grow.

3/3
- For this third, the woodiness bursts through again along with a hint of something fruity.. not sure what it is.. not citrusy though, almost appleish, but very light. Just HAD to nub this one.

Overall: Excellent cigar. Ashed twice. Didn't want to put this one out and ended up nubbing it, despite the temperature dropping about 10 degrees since I went out to smoke it
