What is your "Holy Grail" stick?

What is your is your most sought after cigar. The one stick that you can't find anywhere or the the stick that you would splurge and buy a box if you had the chance.

For me...

STICK: Diamond Crown Maximus, robusto no. 5

I have heard so much positive press on this stick that i am ridiculously curious.

BOX: Padron 1964 Exclusivo or Pyramid (Maduro)

I had just found out that mymy wife is pregnt with our first child. The owner of the cigar shop suggested a 1964 padron to celebrate. He gave me a good deal on 2. My buddy and I smoked them and...jeez, it was like a religous experience!

Those are my wishlist items,

I would love to try a 1492 if I ever had the opportunity.

For me...Padron 64 and 26 any size or wrapper and Fuente Between the Lines . I've been having no trouble getting boxes of the Padrons but the BTL's are rare . Ashton VSG is a regular smoke for me but will be on this list if they ever become sparse .

For me it "was" the Arturo Fuente Between the Lines & the Arturo Fuente Anejo's (no.77 & No. 50) along with the Diamond Crown Maximus Robusto No.5. In the last 2 months I have been able to acquire them all. I think the Diamond Crown may now be my favorite cigar topping my previous favorite the AF Hemingway Signature. I have yet to try the BTL or No. 77 Anejo.

---------CONGRATULATIONS---------

i would either go for the 1492 or the 1994. some have told me that the 1994 is actually better than the 1492 and quite a bit cheaper if memory serves.

thefreakytiki - First off, congrats on the 1st child!!

I guess my holy grail stick would be a Monte #2, but not just any monte #2. I'd like to go back in time and smoke the first one I ever had about 7 yrs ago. I've had plenty since, but something about that 1st one was incredibly good. I don't even think it had anything to do with the fact that it was my 1st one ever, it was just an amazing smoke. I ordered one along with a few other cheaper machine mades from this place in Australia that had good prices. I let it sit for a few weeks before smoking it. It had a lighter wrapper, which I like on Montes for some reason.
Anyway, it tasted like HEAVEN. Strong, but not too strong with hints of vanilla, chocolate, floral, and about 10 others I couldnt describe. Every other Monte2 Ive had since has been great, but they all seem to be more 2 or 3 dimensional (which is still great). The 1st one I had was like 10 dimensional!
Sorry, I know this isn't the review section, but I just had to share my experience. (oh yeah, If anyone has a monte 2 from 6-8 yrs ago I will trade you ANYTHING for it!)

Can't find it anywhere? That would be a custom rolled torpedo that I got from a roller at the Habana Libre Hotel in Havana (199. When I asked the roller, "Que es senor [sp?]", he replied, "Similar a Montecristo numero dos". I bought a bundle and everyone of them rocked. Don't know where to get them except in Havana.

MoTheMan

P.S. When I was visiting Havana, all the top hotels has a sanctioned cigar roller stationed somewhere in the lobby rolling cigars. The quality was quite good.

Are you willing to divulge a source? I've been unable to locate the 1926s anywhere. Maybe I haven't tried hard enough. Thanks.

I'm gonna have to agree with Poker. I haven't had the pleasure of smoking the other three, though I did enjoy a Don Candido 500 a couple of months back - WOW!!!

A few others I've never had, but would love to try:

Punch Diademas Extra, Monte B, Cifuentes Super Estupendos, Dunhill Estupendo, HdM Particulares, Bolivar Especiale, La Flor de Cano Short Churchill, Por Larranaga Lonsdales, RyJ Clemenceau or Plateados de Romeo or Fabulosos, San Luis Rey Prominente, and Dunhill Cabinetta.
