Re: Can someone please explain this?

with a $750 retail price, 111 seems to be a deal. A deal I would never make, but still a deal.(I guess)

Somewhere in the process of making these a bottle of Louis XIII disappears.

Re: Can someone please explain this?

There is a whole story behind these sticks. The 2-second version is that some genius at Gurkha figured there was a big demand for a 750.00 cigar. Since they really didnt have a major differentiator in tobacco lines, they infused each cigar with Louis XIII (which I have seen upwards of 1100.00/bottle).

As you can probably discern, there wasnt much demand for a 750.00 cigar so they are on cbid being sold to people crazy enough to pay for them. I have seen these go for 170.00+ on cbid.

Dave wouldnt spend his money on these (I hope!) when there are Davidoff #1's and Chateau's left out there. Neither would I for that matter...

I would love to see a review for one though. If someone here has the money to burn and wants to write a review, I am all ears!

For $5 +/-

I'll buy a bottle of MD 20/20 and a five pk of Swishers...............and infuse it for somebody daring enough to review !!

$111.00 - tank of gas, bottle of Crown, and still money to spend @ the B & M

Re: Can someone please explain this?

It's up to $201...and the reason a bottle of Louis XIII disappears during the manufacture of this cigar, is because they sit around and drink it whilst laughing and thinking about the jokers they can con into spending so much on a single cigar...
