Question Good Cigar store in Manhattan?

Im heading up to the city this weekend for a little get away and was wondering if anyone knew of a good cigar store to go to. I'll mainly be in mid-town, downtown area.
I'm assuming the prices are higher there than in my local shop here in NJ, so Im not really expecting to pay less, I'm really just looking for a store with a good selection. Thanks!

Davidoff just opened a new store at the Time Warner monstrosity @ Colombus Circle (southwest corner of Central Park). It's supposed to be sweet!

Where will you be staying? I know the city pretty well, and could recommend a ton of great restaurants. The smoking ban really sucks, though. Up until very recently, you could still have a cigar at the Oyster Bar, Micheal Jordan's, and a handful of other places. But now there are only a few cigar bars and "clubs" where you can smoke. New York Magazine or Time Out should have the info, or at least a website that's up to date. But hey, if all else fails, Scores is still cigar friendly (yeah!). Oh, and they're VERY friendly, might I add.

Let me know if you need any good restaurants.

Thanks for the info!! Im actually staying in Hoboken, but will be spending most of my time in the city with my fiance (therefore Scores will be out...DAMM!) We've got plans to hit the ESPN Zone for dinner (classy, I know....), but we're looking for a good restaraunt for lunch in Mid-town.

Club Macanudo 26 E. 63rd Street 212-752-8200

This is a great cigar lounge and one of the few places you can still smoke in the city.

Midtown is certainly jammed with restaurants. Sounds like you'll be hanging around Times Sq. and the Theater District. I'm not sure if you've been there over the last several years, but it's been totally Disney-fied. I used to live in Weehawken, and whenever I go back, I just shake my head. Still, there are places you can go that aren't quite as "touristy" as others. They can be tough to get in to, but are well worth the wait (or the $20 bill that you slip the person seating people. if you do it right, it will get you a table immediately).

If you want to stick around Midtown West, there's a great Italian place on W 46th, between Eight & Ninth, called Orso. Lunch isn't too pricey, dinner can be. Fantastic pastas and awesome pizza. The good thing is, it hasn't been taken over by the hoardes of out of towners quite yet.

If you want to take her to a place she'll never forget, head up to the Boat House in Central Park. You'll enter off of W 72nd, right across from the Dakota. Phenomenal view of the Lake! Just a very cool little spot. I will also bet you a box of isoms that she will keep asking you how you knew about this place! You'll be a hero. If you're hopping on the subway, take the 6 train to 68th.

I could go on and on. That was one of my favorite parts about living in the NY/NJ area. Best restaurants on the planet, hands down. Once you get somewhat comfortable with their subway system, your Metrocard will definitely be your friend! As I said before, I'm not sure how often you get over there. Just let me know if you need any other info. There's no other place like NY!
