Do You Always want Chocolate, Expresso, with a Dash of Caramel

Sometimes, most of the time as a matter of fact, I want a cigar that just tastes, looks, and smokes like really good tobacco.

When I smoke cigars that hit me with a barrage of complexity all the time I tend to get bored of them.

Kind of like Tiramisu for me. I enjoy it greatly. But if I had it everyday I'd probably dread the site of it.

Am I on an island by myself with this thought?

No not at all, thats why alot of us want or are lucky enough to have HUGE humidors filled with tons of different sticks. for me I like the complex gars for special occasions and I have some less complicated ones but tasty nonetheless, for my "everyday" smokes. in fact I would recomend RP edge topredo maduro for a good non complex smoke, those things are great.

That's a very interesting observation and I don't believe I've ever considered it. I suppose you are right, though, complex and nuanced smokes might overload the senses and become boring if that's all you smoked.

I want a cigar that just tastes, looks, and smokes like really good tobacco too. My answer is the Sancho Panza Xtra Fuerte.

I would in general agree with the original poster about wanting good, solid tobacco taste. The only thing is that I do like a hint of coffee or chocolate with my smoke since all of my go to smokes are maduro.

Your not alone.

For a daily smoke, I prefer a medium to full bodied cigar with some depth of flavore thats not overly complex.

Re: Do You Always want Chocolate, Expresso, with a Dash of Caramel

I suppose for those who smoke daily it is more important. I know with my coffee I enjoy many varities and certainly would not want to drink a complex Ethiopean Harrar every day. So I go through cycles, and keep special occasion sticks, go to sticks, and adventurous stciks to see if they can break into the cycle. There are certainly enough choices that we don't need to get stuck in a rut.

Re: Do You Always want Chocolate, Expresso, with a Dash of Caramel

For me the key word is variety. I am constantly looking for new smokes that fit my flavor profile, i.e. full, smooth, rich and satisfying. I try a lot of things which don't make the grade, even though I know others like them. i.e. Camacho. Those are simply too much for me. Larry.

kind of like hearing about some wines, they start with one flavor and then change to another and then a hint of this or that and leave something else after you swallow. how about one good flavor, all the way through, start to finish....tatuaje!!!!!!!
