Starting to establish a relationship
Well as I have said in other threads there are not very many good B&M's in my neck of the woods but there is a small one 10 mins from my house and on my way home from work. I've visited on a few occasions and made small purchases but they are way way over priced even for a small B&M. So today I was in there looking things over and started chatting with the owner. I told him about my 1st herf in Boston. About the cigar forums I've joined and the people I'm meeting ect. He started sharing some stories with me. I spent about an hour there shooting the poop with him. Then I went to make a purchase well low and behold he knocked a few bucks off the price then introduced himself and asked my name. We exchanged final pleasantries and and he told me to keep him updated on a couple of things I was involved with in the forums. Really nice guy. I'm hoping it turns into a nice little situation.

Yes thats the place. The shop is finally back down on the street level. They were pushed up on 2nd floor office space for a time while rennovations were being done.

That's cool...My local place is also a bit pricey on a few items (but not enough to drive me away). Last few times I've been in there, they have given me discounts. Good service brings in good business.

That's great! I've gotten in good with mine also. He knows I buy from him and only him. I've received a real nice Bratalia hat and a couple free smokes.
Keep in good with them, it goes a long way, both ways. |

Last time I was at Holt's, I asked about the Old Henrys by Don Pepin and a saleswoman gave me a couple to try. I've been going about twice a week for two months to buy cigars and smoke in the back with the regulars, and I guess I've become a regular myself.
