Is it my imagination???? Has the bidding at the devil site been outrageously high recently???? I have been oubid on an number of items which is not a problem except the bids that have won have been at or even above retail on the various internet sites. C'mon guys there is not a shortage of cigars and the ones on the site are not rare finds. Oh well that is enough for now and I am sure when the holiday's are over things will settle down.

Recently I have actually had better luck. I just assumed it was because many people were away for the holidays and couldn't enter into bidding wars.

Noticed some of the bidding seems to be a bit high lately. I've bid in the low to medium range on some boxes, as I always do. Turns out I wasn't even in the neighborhood on some of these bids.

I was real interested in a box of LGC Serie 4 Maddies and saw that the bids had exceeded what I can order them direct from JR's, CI, or Famous! I don't believe folks are doing their homework before bids...then on top of their high bids, they still have to pay the shipping!

I have had some luck. Picked up some decent deals. But I got the email on the Graycliffs and checked the sale...It is getting Very out of control.

I had some luck last night... I got a box of RP Sun Growns for $49.00. Saved nearly 45%... Thats why the slippery slope is so dangerous. I just COULD NOT say no to that price.

Yea I agree that there seems to be many people who are not doing their homework. I opened a thread in here just before the holidays about overbidding on the site to the point that they were paying more for the bids than what they could be had on any number of sites, let alone CI (owner of Devil's). Towards the end of the year there was a lull that allowed me to grab some smokes at good prices but it appears that it may be over.

Supposedly the cigar market is heating up again which would mean more noobs hitting the site. This in turn could explain some of the overbidding.

Seems there is a thread opened a few times a month about this same thing.

All I can say is set your highest price, which is hopefully below msrp and let the auction play out. You may get lucky!!

Indeed. In fact, you WILL get lucky. PATIENCE, grasshoppah. I got a box of Indian Tabac Maduros for $31, a box of Brazilia GOL for $70, a bundle of Nestor Reserve Maduro for $28, a 5 pack of Fire Corojos for $7, a box of LVH Early Years for $30, a box of VS Vintage Select for $28, an El Mejor Espresso super sampler for $25, and have never paid more than $9 for a 5 pack...and this is all in the past month...
