Well, my personal opinion is that generally cigars from this country suck - so, it can only get better if there is a change.

I remember reading a few interviews of cigar makers with operations in Nic (Perdomo comes to mind) and of course almost all of them took the "wait and see" approach. Some had met with the sadinistas and were assured that the Sadinistas wanted them to continue "business as usual". Now whether this changes remains to be seen.

From the US, we may try to pressure them by withholding aid but doubt that we would go the embargo route with them.

In the 1980's, the U.S. government did "blockade" (I guess "embargo" was such a politically charged term) the Sandinistas when they were in power then.
