Has anyone tried the Flor de Lis? Supposed to be made by LGC and are $60 for 40 (at Thompsons.. I know, I know).

Just wanted opinions before potentially shelling out money to waste space in the humidor.

Am not sure, have never tried them, but asked one time & they told me it was a sandwich cigar.

It means the cigar is rolled with some long filler and some clippings. You will get more stem. I believe the word stogie was originally coined to apply to cigars of sandwich construction.

I have enjoyed many sandwich cigars however they suffer from reduced consistancy, can have straw like draw, and will frequently tunnel/canoe. But you can get the flavor of much more expensive cigars for much less money.

Drew Estate's sandwhich "La Veja Habana" is their best selling line. Some of the "Roly" cigars from Puros Indios are seconds of the Puros Indios Line, and some Roly cigars are short filler. I think demand for Roly has exceeded the ordering them.
