That's true of most things in life. One hardly ever regrets paying the price for quality. The pain is always in making the decision.

I always say - life is too short to drink cheap whiskey and smoke cheap cigars.

Arturo Fuente Curly Head Deluxe fits nicely in the $1.00 to $2.00 range. Great everyday cigar.

Re: Best everyday smoke

Has anyone tried Morro Castle or 1876 Reserve?

I would like to know what people think of these labels.

Thanks!

Guys sorry I have been away for a while. The FdO shapes are not made anymore according to 3 different sources. Including the Oliva Family. They are listed on their Website but are not in production anymore.

Re: Best everyday smoke

well, like others have said, you can get good inexpensive bundled smokes from mrbundles.com, though i hear hes been having website troubles, flor de oliva bundles in any wrapper are very good (i favor the corojo, maduro and golds, in no particular order), consuegras (similar, i think, to the 'superpremium 2nds from C.I.) are a good bundle. ive heard good things about some of the old fashioned bundles if you like macanudo or partagas. el credito bundles are made by the same people that make la gloria cubana and are a good smoke.

really, for most any boxed cigar you like the manufacturer will likely have a bundled line that will likely be to your liking. in my experience you will want to set a bundle down for a good 6 mos because they tend to be rolled and shipped right away to keep overhead down. that little bit of time improves them tremendously, imho

never had morro castle or 1876 reserve. caveat: ive gotten a lot of what i consider to be crap from cigars int'l. my advice is to try five packs of things first if you arent sure about them.

I couldn't agree more. I have gotten some bundles and smoked them right away and wondered how I would ever go through them all. Layed them down in the humidor and came back a few months later and wondered why I had waited so long to smoke them.

Re: Best everyday smoke

Last couple of months i've decided to go a cheaper route for my every day cigar. I buy five packs of the Jose Piedra Conservas. Go for about 23.00 a pack here. They're not a bad smoke and usually have plenty of age on them.

Re: Best everyday smoke

If I smoked everyday (which I can't), my everyday stick would be Padron 3000 (nat or mad).
