It's going to happen in the USA too. Most countries are pretty much bound to making cigarette smoking illegal. Cuba may do it before USA, oddly enough.

It looks like something that we all should get used to. Its not just France doing it (wouldnt go there anyways) Heard on the news this morning that TX is trying to pass a bill to do the same thing.

I don't know about other countries, but the US will never NEVER <h2>NEVER</h2> make cigarette's illegal. Way too much of a revenue pig for government at all levels. They'll make it real damned inconvenient, and make those that choose to smoke feel like second class citizens, but they will never ban the substance.

Not illegal, just "illicit." And as has been the case for a while, all of us gorillas will be lumped in. I'm at a loss about what I can do about it personally, except to set an example of conscientiousness while exuding pride in my hobby when out in public. I was confronted by a hater last weekend and shrunk from the challenge, and that made me feel like

. I made up my mind that I wouldn't allow myself to be manipulated into "feeling bad" for enjoying this hobby ever again. Wherever it's still legal, I'll brandish my stogie in pride and politely remind people that until they succeed in banning me from all public places, they can be the ones to move, not me. Ammending a page from the MLK playbook, I guess...
