Has anybody around here smoked one of those 40th Anniversary's?

I could eat lunch for a month on the cost of one of those. I mean, is it hand "delivered" by the Swedish Bikini Team?

Ooh, my old post had the Estimated price, its actually a lot lower. 12/04 the official price on the 40th Annis was released:

They had them in my cigar shop the other day. Oh, how I was tempted to try one.

No, they use the Swedish Bikini Team's fecal material to fertilize those tobacco plants. That's why is so damned expensive. Old man Padron has gone mad! Or the arterialsclerosis is not letting enough oxygen into his brain.

I've already purchased 3, and I'm going to finally break down and smoke one tonight and will,of course, post a review.

Cigar Afficionado has declared the 40th Anniversary cigar "Cigar of the Year." In the number 2 spot is the Aurora 100 anos Belicoso. I forget the rest, though I know Monte #2 was in the 8th position and La Aroma de Cuba corona came in around #13.


Of arguably greater interest to Padron whores,is that CA also reports in their February issue that the current 40th Anniversary cigars will be marketed again (following the limited edition run) as part of the regular 1926 line.

This is good, the 26 line could use a 5th size, although its only 1/2" longer and 2 ring bigger than the #2..

i was at the Padron factory earlier this week. those humidors look AMAZING in person! they come with the 1926 series correct?

Of arguably greater interest to Padron whores,is that CA also reports in their February issue that the current 40th Anniversary cigars will be marketed again (following the limited edition run) as part of the regular 1926 line.

I've only had a couple of La Aroma de Cuba and really liked them. Is there a link that you know of to that feb issue that I can access. The only thing that I've found on CA is that you can purchase back issues. I'd like to read this article.

I'm not sure of this, but I might have an extra copy if you want it. It could have gotten thrown out, but I'll look around.
