Death Row

C'mon, all of us humidor owners have one...You know, that special shelf/tray that you only store your go-to smokes. The daily favs, you know them well, your personable dependable smokes you'll enjoy without a doubt.

I lovingly refer to it as "Death Row".

Any smoke from that shelf/tray is more than fair game. At any moment, expect to feel the heat baby...toast...Another one bites the dust...

While "Death Row" may serve as the dominant location for sticks meeting the flame, it certainly doesn't excuse the rest of you in my jail(a.k.a. humidor).

All are fair game in the end. Smoke and enjoy, for tomorrow it may be the untrained pallette of your designated life insurance beneficiary throwing away your prized sticks...

I feel the same way!

Except, even after segregating the death row sticks, I end up smoking everything else lol and barely put down the death row-ees.

I do that too... I've got all my "everday" smokes on "death row" and I always end up picking up the tray and getting something from underneath.

Hahahahha, yea, I actually have touched my main "go to/everyday" cigars in a while. I always pick out something from the singles, cuban, or $$ premium section.

Re: Death Row

Gentlemen,

Your acts of issuing a temporary pardon to those on Death Row are only exhibiting one of the highest and most respected acts of a true cigar aficionado. A true cigar lover is always on a quest for a richer, deeper, stronger, more satisfying smoke. Until you find perfection, you continue searching.

You never know what's in the other shelves of the humidor. You always know what to expect from Death Row. Congratulations on the desire to quest...

Re: Death Row

Wow, to be thrust to the levels of a "sig" by a certified Gorilla with a mere rant from a noob, a sincere thanks is in order...

Always enjoy the smoke...

Re: Death Row

Don't take that the wrong way,
I just had a image of a bunch of stogies on the yard lifting weights, and passing shanks. With gorillas in correctional officer uniforms.

Re: Death Row

Interesting analogy. I must have a supermax humidor because any one of them is fair game right now. (Granted I am a noob and am enjoying experimenting with as big a variety of smokes as I can.)

One prison is for the nudist convicts(cello off), the other is for the ones still with clothes on(cello on) and one for the boxed in-inmates(boxes)
