I had forgotten that I sold some to you, and forgot the MSRP of what size that was. And it wasn't like I researched it out, and went and intentionally cheated the store. Sorry for any confusion, and perceived "shifty-ness".

This comment upsets me. I have seen a number of deals offered on the internet with similar savings, basically 30% of retail is not so out of line. I do not get the feeling CigarBob was tring to take advantage of any one and quite frankly it sounded like a good deal to me. The last B&M I went to down in Jacksonville, the clerk did not know the prices of cigars and asked me to go back into the humi and make a list. It took me about 15 minutes to look them all up and bring the list back, (with all the correct prices). The owner came in and thanked me for helping out and gave me a nice humi bag for free to take on the plane.

Knowing that this may be a mistake by the clerk, I would certainly reccomend bringing it back, but I would not trash everyone in the thread.

i would have to disagree with you. i asked how he got this price. a couple of months ago i bought some cigars and when i got home i realized each cigar was charged only $1.40. i called them and they said it was fine. my previous post was an honest inquiry how he got them so cheap... maybe something similar or maybe it was damaged or , etc.

you could have typed PAN Exclusivo in a search engine and gotten the price much easier than posting this thread, really.. The fact you sold some PANs to NCRman is further evidence you had *some* idea that this is an over $10 cigar and not a $3 cigar when you got them for $75. I am certain you didn't go in intending to cheat the store; but I stick with my original opinion that you are looking for validation and deep down you know you should return them.

If nothing else please drop an anonymous letter into the mailbox to the store listing the date and time you bought the box so the owner can give the clerk some additional training or perhaps other action. Maybe the clerk is intentionally doing this as some sort of revenge to the store owner.

That cigar shop is a BOTL's dream; but it is just a job to the clerk that sold you the cigars.

If it makes everyone feel better I pay 4x the amount of MSRP in NYC for cigars

Stupid greedy shop owners plus the 37% tobacco tax. I have to hunt elsewhere to even get close to MSRP.

If this is a B&M you frequent often, then I think taking it back will build a good relationship with your local shop. They would probably even gift you some of the sticks for being honest. I think it's very beneficial to have a B&M that likes you...you might get certain inside deals or be the first to know when hard to find sticks come in.

Better to be a friend of the B&M rather than someone they don't like.

Guys you weren't one of the ones saying "go get more." Those are the people who I was referring to when I said I wouldn't trade, split, or pass with; no worries.

You got a steel and I mean that literally. You knew what you were getting and I will not judge but I know I would not have taking advantage of this situation. True that a merchant should hire knowledgeable employees but IMHO I feel this is like stealing. I often return a twenty when I should have gotten a fiver as change but that is me. I agree 100% with Gargamel and TX Matt.

Enjoy the smokes they are very nice and dI do prefer the PANS over the PAMS...I know I am different.

Cigar bob - I think you need to step up and be a real man about this. You've got to know the girl made a huge mistake on those smokes. Take them back and talk with the shop owner and see what you can work out. If you don't take action this could come back to bite you in the future. You must be feeling at least a little guilty - right?????
