Cigar pass pix

A buddy of mine let me on a cigar pass from a different site and these are the sticks I came away with. THis cigaar pass had so many great cigars it was hard to pick, especially since I had to try and pick sticks of equal value to mine. I trade for a 2005 Toaste Across America OpusX to match the DC Maximus he gave me. I also got a 858 Sungrown, LG Small Batch and one unusual cugar he gave me. I don't know much about it other than it is a 90's camaroon Fuente made cigar. He ad a couple and I just thought the band was way to funny.

Here are a couple of picture since I bought an new camera and had to play with it.

Is that Tony Orlando?? Is there a yellow ribbon tied around the cigar?

Nice smokes, congrats on the score.

I was able to score a nice handful of those a few years back. When they are on, they are near perfection. I had a couple that were so-so and then a few that were unreal. This cigar confuses me. Is it the normal 858 blend? If so what makes it so special? If so why aren't they regular production? I'm not even a big fan of regular production Fuente SG's and a few of those 858's I smoked blew me away...and I'm not blown away easily.

Re: Cigar pass pix

Hmm, I've never really thought of that.

But I know that they have an 858 for every wrapper color lol Natural, Maddie, Rosado, SG, and the green one that I keep forgeting.

Since I have only one, I'm afraid to smoke it because I know that I'll probably have to go to Casa Fuente in LV if I wanted more.
I hope it blows me away when I do finally smoke it like the few that did to you.
You have a good question though, if it's a regular production blend with a simple SG wrapper, why not make it more available..kinda like the Chateau Fuente SG.

It could be another Fuente marketing strategy, we all know how Fuente likes to put their products out as "collectables".

THis first one is going to be the 858. The Opus I took to mate up with my TAA Maximus. May smoke those in time. The stick with Tony Orlando on is more ove a novelty but will see.
