Worst split ever.
Had an RyJ Robusto last night that split pretty much straight down the wrapper after the first inch. Humidy was 69% Temperature was a bit high as I am in Florida and I can't keep the A/C on all day. The cigar looked perfect when it lit up. I am boggled as to the reason why.

Had almost the exact same problem but mine split at about half way. It was a good smoke other than that but I could hear the wrapper cracking as it got further and further towards the middle and then BAMMMMM!!!!! It split. I dont know what caused it because it was stored properly.

It was almost like one section of the cigar had a big air gap.. Very odd.
Still the bad smoke was better than no smoke at all.

TYpically the inside of the cigar is too moist when you split the wrapper. I would guess if the cigar has not been in you humidor for a few months. Then the shop kept the humidity a little higher. They were stored in a higher humidity before they were shipped to you.
