There is the true issue with your statement. Thompsons are NEVER good, but they may still have the ability to light the tobacco....

Re: I found some long forgotten cigars in my house

I doubt the cigars will be any good. Thats a real long time to be left un-attended.

However you just found yourself a nice case to travel with. You never know whats in the back of a closet.

Looks like you got a nice suprise there.

I wonder if they were even good when they where new.

I think the cigars will be O.K. too. After three years of ageing all traces of that Thompsons patented harshness should have mellowed. You could find yourself with a pretty good cigar or they could be dried up, factory fresh for a Thompsons. I can't wait until you smoke one and give us a review, Nice find.

Re: I found some long forgotten cigars in my house

Hell, they are in tubos, they oughta be pretty good. Who knows, even though they are thompsons, they may have matured and gotten a lot better. If nothing else, it would be an interesting experiement to see what time can do to a Thompsons.

I don't know anything about the quality of the cigars, But as long as the tubes weren't opened they should still be good.

My first thought too.

As a wise man once said, if you take a crappy cigar and age it, all you end up with is an old crappy, cigar.

But go ahead and try one. Let us know how it goes.
