Fuente Anejo Reserva #48
I have been trying to buy a few Fuente Anejo's from the local B&M where I live. But as it turn's out they are very hard to get around here so I went on Cigarbid and sure enough there were a couple Feunte Anejo Reserva #48 up for bid. When I found out that I won the bid on these cigars I was pretty excited because I have heard nothing but good thing about the Anejo's. But I was wondering how the Anejo #48 compare to the Anejo Shark or are they one and the same?

Re: Fuente Anejo Reserva #48
I liked the 48 I had a lot. To me the sharks look a bit more interesting, but the flavor and such should be similar.

Re: Fuente Anejo Reserva #48
Do I even wanna know what you paid at Cbid? (probably not) I can say with some measure of certainty that the anejos I have smoked are some of the best NCs I have ever had. Wish I could give you more info on the shark, but that one is only on the radar screen for "smokes to find and try" at the moment. Congrats on the winnings.

Re: Fuente Anejo Reserva #48
Same blend w/ similiar flavor profile, but thicker guages seem to be a bit different.

Re: Fuente Anejo Reserva #48
The 48's are usually the only ones I buy. They are freakin' great and much cheaper.

Re: Fuente Anejo Reserva #48
I like 'em...
shark #77's are similar to me, but there are some differences... and some benefits to that shark-like shape... I'm glad they don't make them in a 77 RG as their name might suggest... or am I? |

Re: Fuente Anejo Reserva #48
as stated above, the blend is the same, but differences in gauge & length bring out slightly different tastes-the only ones i've had are the #50 (busto) & either #48 or #49 (big honkin churchie) so i can't say about the sharks

Hopefully you didn't overpay too much on Cbid . I remember seeing them go for around $40-$50 each in the past .

Re: Fuente Anejo Reserva #48
Well I don't know if I overpaid but given the popularity of the cigar I thought $20 per stick was not to bad or maybe I just don't know any better.

Re: Fuente Anejo Reserva #48
I love the Anejo 48s. Slightly prefer the 55s, but the 48s are awesome and more readily available (for me). I have a box in the cooler calling my name right now.
Enjoy them, it doesn't get much better.
