This is a discussion on Tinder Box within the General Cigar Discussion forums, part of the The Cigar Lounges at Puff category; I'm thinking of going and purchasing some cigars from the tinder box tonight. Any suggestions?...

Re: Tinder Box

olivia master blends robusto (should be around $
padron 3000 maduro (should be around 5-7)
trilogy authentic corojo (should be under $4)
perdomo 2 maduro (i'm guessing around $7)
carlos torano exodus 1959 gold (around 5-7)

maybe try a Butera, ashton, or avo if they have any. i hear Avo's are pretty nice, and i've had only 1 butera, which was pretty solid.

the ones i mentioned are very solid cigars. my favorites are the olivia master blends, trilogy, perdomo and torano exodus...

Re: Tinder Box

not bad on the padron and avo... i haven't had much luck with domestic RyJ's. smoke that one first so you won't be disappointed.

i'm serious though, try an Olivia Master Blends. they are tops on my list of all domestic cigars (trilogy authentic corojo is my favorite though - don't know why, just love those cigars).

let us know what you think of the cigars you smoke. i've never had an Avo, but everyone loves 'em.

Re: Tinder Box

I actually took your list with me to the store IHT lol. The guy there said "nice choices" but of course they didn't have a single one you recommended. I will let you know what I think when I smoke them...I was planning on smoking the RYJ cigar tonight as it is. Thanks again for all the help!

Re: Tinder Box

they didn't have a single one? wow, better find a different tinder box. most of those are standard cigars to be found in a "cigar" shop like tinder box. especially the padron, torano and perdomo... the oliva master blends can be hard to find, they're limited production.

Re: Tinder Box

Ok, I had the RYJ lonsdale last night...not the best cigar I've ever had but it wasn't the worst either. I guess it was somewhat enjoyable.

A Fuente Don Carlos,A Fuente Hemingway classi,Montecristo #2,Excalibur #3 and a A Fuente double chataeu maduro. Now which one tonight is the decision that now must be made.

Re: Tinder Box

Good Choices Jamminison. I like the Montechristo. Go with that first.

I find the Tinder Box to be more expensive than anyone else with a smaller selection. I would look for a better shop. MrInmenso I would try to find the Oliva Masterblends to they are great cigars. Also get some Perdomo Estate Selections.

Re: Tinder Box

I buy boxes online but i try singles from my local TinderBox. I smoked the Double Chataue in maduro and was blown away. I have been hooked on light wrappers for the last 3 years or so and i really enjoyed it.I am shopping for maduros this week!

Re: Tinder Box

You may want to try the partagas spanish rosado "san augustin" good smoke.

tried the cao MX2, harsh & metalic for the first half, settled down and was better the 2nd half. maybe some age would help.
