The ones I recognize are good are the 3 on the right and the one on the left. The others I haven't tried. Have fun

Re: Are These Dog Rockets?

The Tabby's came out during the Boom and were bought as a closeout by JR. Supposably they were a big hit, so Lew asked the manufacturer to continue the line for him.

Medium bodied, DR smoke with an Indonesian wrapper. Any vitola under $30.

IMHO, they are yard gars at best, but someone must like them if they are still being sold.

As for whether a smoke is a rocket - Miami said it best when he said they are if YOU don't like them. Taste is VERY subjective........

Re: Are These Dog Rockets?

Yeah. Those are some nasty gars. I'll take them off your hands though. I have a proper cigar disposal unit at my house.

All seriousness though. You got a good selection. Enjoy them.

Re: Are These Dog Rockets?

By all means smoke em.

Also, get yourself a little notebook and scribble down your impressions of each one as you smoke it, (I like to scotch tape the label into the book too). It doesn't have to be anything fancy and you need only note those impressions which are important to you. Down the road, when you're looking for cigars to buy you can refer to the notebook for both specific cigars and general likes, dislikes.

Re: Are These Dog Rockets?

About the Don Lino that is a great smoke, espically if its sat in your humi for about six months. Very complex with strong carmel undertones

Re: Are These Dog Rockets?

I've had Royal Barbados cigars, they are good, not great. Even a few left. They could be rolled with more tobacco, feels spongy, but the taste is good, imo.

Smoke all of them and decide for yourself.
