Florida Herf Locations Poll

Here are the suggested locations for the Florida Herf. Still looking like March. I live near Ft. Myers, there is an OK cigar bar there. I'm leaning toward Ybor City. If you're gonna herf, might as well do it at our local cigar capital. Okay I screwed the poll up, looks like you get one vote. Oops.

I voted Ybor though I also spend a lot of time in both Orlando and South Florida (Miami Dade & Palm Beach counties). Put a Thursday/Friday night in the schedule and I'll most likely be able to make it.

You know my vote goes for the keys! I could probably do West Palm but Tampa/Orlando is a little too far for me. Sorry guys, next time.

If it winds up being Ybor, any idea where? Out-of-towners have to remember that Ybor is a bar district and, while quite pleasent in the day, on weekend nights becomes very crowded with a sometimes explosive diversity of drunk patrons, underage cruisers and denizens of the ghetto located just across I-4.

South Tampa is the more upscale, trendy area of the city and there are a lot of areas that have cigar bars (my favorite being a low lit, smaller one located in North Tampa) and shops.

Just food for thought.

Any idea on when this Florida herf may happen. Would love to come to it, since I don't think I am going to make it to the So-Cal herf. My parents are going on vacation then and I have to look after their kitties.......since they do the same for me all the time.

Where, what's the name? I work most days in Temple Terrace, travel back and forth to Oldsmar.

I've smoked a cigar inside twice: Once at Fredster's, once at my sister's in Cleveland.

It's looking more and more like the Ybor / Tampa area. There's a Spanish restaraunt in Ybor that's the oldest Spanish restaraunt in the US. Ate there a couple of years ago, the food was great. Does anybody know the place and it's name? When I was there you could smoke inside and cigars were encouraged, one He!! of a nice place. Maybe we could do dinner there on a Friday then hit the dimly lit place in Tampa on Saturday. Just a suggestion.
