wow my first month was 23.00

I banned myself from cbid I have a strong will. I know collecting, storing, and smoking cigars is not a race its a marathon. So I will take my time, got 6 in a 100 ct humidor, next month I may spend 15.00 to 20.00

but hey if you like it I love it

Man, that is some collection that you are building up. Sad fact is that it is SO EASY to spend that much.

I'm trying to buy a box a month of smokes. Yet, I have been bad and visiting the devil site TOO much. If I add up all my small purchases, I realize I can buy that one box that is "too expensive". One day I'll learn.

I do the box thing too. A box a month is still a little over my budget depending on the box. You can single and 5-er yourself to death. I find smokes that are enjoyed by the majority and buy a box when I feel comfortable. Hasn't backfired yet.

only box i've ever bought was a box of padron 3k maduros. i love the smoke, but with my tiny 50 ct, i quickly had overflow issues. right now, i'm tryin not to go to something bigger. the way i figure it, i just got a lot of excess right now cuz i'm just tryin to find out what i like. not planning on doing much aging, either...tho...things could quickly change.

i'm just trying to find out "who i am" as a cigar smoker. who am i on the "inside". how does this "make me feel"...and once i've found my identity, i think things will be more manageable.

Well, it pretty much made my jaw drop when wifey told me the number. I'd figured a couple thou, maybe on the outside 3.... In my defense, I was smoking 5-6 sticks/day and was temporarily insane.

Well, I'm still insane, but I take my meds . . . . .

Suggest you establish a cigar budget and keep within that. Then you won't feel guilty when you spend. Just when you exceed your budget.

But, whatever you do, be sure you enjoy the fruits of your labors!!
