Cedar Fresh? Oh the mistakes

Well, when I won a couple of auctions on cbid I ended up bidding on a bunch of cedar fresh cigars. They were described as really good, medium body and that they were only missing the "name recognition".

Well, I ruined one by trying to unplug it and it just fell apart so I lit another one up and it was so plugged that I couldn't draw anything out of it.

I'm letting them sit in my coolerdor for a while and see if that helps matters any cause I don't even really know if they taste good.

Anyone else try these things before? I'm shure I bought a bunch of giveaways here but I'm willing to still give them the benefit of the doubt.

Cheers,
Rob

Never heard of them. The name sounds like a cleaning product or air freshner. Hope the rest of them smoke better for you after a little rest.

Your right about that, I think the name would turn me off.

Totally not where I thought this thread was going based on the title. I thought it was going to be about someone putting those cedar closet air fresheners in their coolerdoor or something along those lines. Hope they turn out to be a decent smoke.

Hope the rest turn out better. If they don't, you could try them in your sock drawer.

They are made by Nestor Plasencia. He makes some cigars that I definitely don't like, but he makes alot of my favorite cigars. He also makes some decent cigars with dumb names. So I would let 'em sit for a few months and give 'em another shot.

Re: Cedar Fresh? Oh the mistakes

Thanks for the really funny comments guys. I'm not going to lose any sleep over this. I mean I think I paid around $12 for 20 cigars. Hell even if I give them away to people who don't know any better they'll still be worth it.

You guys are right, just going to let them sit and see what happens. The little bit of smoke I managed to vaccume through one of them didn't taste all that bad but that is hardly ideal test conditions.

Cheers,
Rob

Re: Cedar Fresh? Oh the mistakes

Plasencia does what I consider great budget cigars. Not top of the line stuff, but good cigars for the money -- Mayorga, Maria Mancini, Nestor Reserve (the maduros are especially nice,) American Stogies, and formerly some Indian Tabacs and some CAOs.

Good everyday smokes. Nothing to get crazy about, but decent.

Re: Cedar Fresh? Oh the mistakes

Well this is all good info to know. I bought them because of the insane low price so I'll let them sit and hopefully they will loosen up enough to smoke. For the time being I'm not going to worry about them.
