I thought I was over my head cold. My wife takes the kids out of town for the day, due back sometime late tonight. Perfect recipe for a nice cigar out on the back porch. So I grab a nice H.Umpann Mag 46, a full cup of coffee and set about my task.

My first clue should have been I didn't get any prelight draw taste. Well, maybe my tastebuds are just a little dull what with the cold and all. So I fire it up. NOTHING!!! I CAN'T FREAKING TASTE ANYTHING!!! Sigh, cut the end off, put it back in the cooler, and drink my mostly tasteless coffee (I should have tried the coffee first and saved myself the time). Life isn't fair.

I think if you let your tongue, mouth, throat, and nasal passage rest a little longer you should be able to get your taste buds back. If not, smoke something that is really strong, like a Power Ranger or Don Pepin.

I had a head cold about 2 weeks ago and only had 1 semi tasteless smoke over a 2 week period so I can sympathize with you. It sucks to have a great plan not come to fruition.

Yeah I gave that some second thoughts. It had only burnt about a half inch but I cut a good inch off, made sure there was no charring at all. Even so I put a couple drops in the puck in my cigar cady and put it in there alone, just to be safe. If I ruined the rest of my gars I think it would be

Over my Spring Break I had a really bad cold and the selection of cigars I brought with me that I was looking forward to smoking for months were useless so I definitely understand what you're going through

Im with you, not sure how much u smoked but I would have just chunked it, I would hate to open my humi to smell old burnt cigar. I hate to throw a cigar out but sometimes it happens...just one of those things, rather toss one than have a humi full of smokes that smell like burnt tobacco.

Having a cold sucks, but I'm sure your body will thank you.

You'll also most likely get better faster than if you smoked it.

I know how you feel, I did a similar thing once when I was out with a couple of friends. I bought a beer and it had no taste. I was sick with a cold too.
