CI catalog descriptions

I was looking at the stupid CI descriptions and, this one is my new personal favorite. It is for the Cube Libre.

With this deal you are driving a gravy train with biscuit wheels.

With a description like that I will have to order a box.

I like the Jose Marti Cuba Libre but that description sucks noodles.

I think a better description might read "Good cigar for the money"...

Re: CI catalog descriptions

I'd be afraid a cigar like that would have too much saturated fat and carbs.

Re: CI catalog descriptions

Last catalog they described some cigars as having a "mottled" wrapper. Having never heard anyone use that word I looked it up. Means spotted or splotchy. Not what I want in my wrapper.

Re: CI catalog descriptions

Another good one is for the Havana Classico Pequenos

It may not look like much, or cost much for that matter, but Havana Classico is a nice little medium bodied cigar.

They are right about one thing. If that picture is the best they had they are ugly.

Re: CI catalog descriptions

As for the Cuba Libre, I suggest you DO just roll up the catalog and smoke it instead... it will taste and burn better.

Re: CI catalog descriptions

Have you noticed how they photoshop come of the cigars so much that they don't even look real? I swear they have some cigars that looks like they don't have a wrapper or a cap on them they are just a solid mass, hotdog like looking thing.

Re: CI catalog descriptions

I once bought some Nestor's that they suckered me on with a grandiose desciption. They sucked and I sent them right back.

As far as the Cuba Libre, a good, cheap cigar. Much better after siting for three months. I was enjoying one tonight when I found this thread.

Re: CI catalog descriptions

Sometimes JRCigar has corny descriptions. Also tries to make it seem like hes taking it in the shorts on every deal.

Rob I agree with you. The cigars are a good value for the money but the description could be described better.
