Deliveries overseas - hints needed

Hello all BOTLs!

I need some facts from people who have shipped cigars across the Atlantic (to one direction or another). What needs to be focused on when packing and shipping the sticks?

packaging? air tight? ziplock? box? bubble wrapper? costs? customs and duties? anything else?

i ask of you wise gorillas to give me some tips on this matter.

peace out

miker

put cigars in ziplock bag with humi pack if possible, fill box with whatever (bubblewrap peanuts etc.) if packing cigars that might include contraband take bands off, place in envelope within box. As far as customs fill out cigars and for cost write "gift" and send away..

Hope this helps goodluck

Re: Deliveries overseas - hints needed

I just had a package arrive in 5 days that I sent to Afghanistan.

I packed it in ziplock and packed papaer around it, like CI or cbid do when they ship. Apparantly someone is enjoying an undamaged supply of cigars, so it worked.

I know the post office clerk by first name where I go and he told me that all packages are scanned and it's best to write "cigars" on the customs form.

Miker, when shipping cigars to this country I would highly advise AGAINST writing cigars on the customs form. The packages I have ever gotten from anyone overseas hold "candles" or "candy" or "books" You get the idea. Cigars from certain countries are illegal here , why give customs a reason to tear open your package?? discretion is the better part of valor,

dear all, i intent not to brake the law. thanks for the hints, but i believe no more discussion about certain products can been put aside.

thank you all. my most concerns were really about the packaging etc.

Luckily, those certain sticks are not illegar here in Finland...

Miker, that does not seem so difficult. I shall declare the contents as cigars with peace of mind.
