They come with the stogies. Prepackaged and in Larvae form, so to speak.

Some manufacturers and even some retailers freeze their cigar shipments to cut down on the problem. Others do not.

Prepackaged for your convenience.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Question Re: Cooling humidor

BigBasMan,

I'm new to the forum and I also have a problem keeping my humidor cool as I live in Texas and room temperature resides around 75 or 76 in my house. After placing a cool towel on the entire top of my glasstop humidor (75-100ct, did not place towel over the seal), it lowered the temperature down to 71, which was awesome. However, I asked my grandfather, who is a carpenter, if keeping a towel over my humi would instill any damage on it and he said that I wouldn't notice any warping of the wood initially, but in about 2-4 months the wood would definetely start to warp if I left a towel on the wood consistently, regardless of the finish on it. So I guess what I'm saying is if you are having temperature problems and put a towel over your humi, be prepared to face the consequences. As a result, I now keep the towel only on the glass and it keeps the temperature at 72-73, which makes me alot less anal than 75.

I would prefer a wine cooler or something along those lines, but poor college kids gotta make do with what little money they have, ha ha.

For anyone who has been on the forum for a while, I was wondering if the humidity in my humi should be lower to compensate for high temperature? Thanks.
