Re: Craigslist at it again

honestly, why would anyone get worked up over a craigslist posting they know absolutely nothing about? craigslist is intended for local transactions only, so if you want to go examine the contents and then report back, that might be useful feedback. otherwise it's all just useless banter

Re: Craigslist at it again

That may be a cheap humidor.......worth about $100 new.

The Cohibas are probably the Dominicans that had the court order against any additional production.

The ad sounds like something you'd read in a Thompson catalog.

So, at about a hundred for the humi you've got @ $500 left divided by @ 70 cigars = @ $7 per cigar.

Somebody is makin' a killing here!

Re: Craigslist at it again

With soooo many reputable sources why would anyone even look on CL for cigars???

Although I did buy an Iquana through CL and it is not the cigar but the lizard for my kids.

I guess its more really of a large educated guess. But I have several Cohibas in my humidor right now including the Cohiba Siglo IV pictured. I just notice the color of the wrapper looks extremely similar and the overall shape looks similar.

Obviously I cannot 100% guarantee its authenticity without closer inspection, but I never claimed to be 100% correct in the first place.

Ummm...No, I think I will pass...originally I thought this thread was going to be another story of people getting busted for using craigslist as their pimping service...

Re: Craigslist at it again

I just bought it. Went over there and told him he had it way underpriced, so I gave him $1595. Will post reviews later.

Cheap humidor or not, I kind of like it. It's nicer looking than the one I have.

Isn't tobacco on CL banned? I posted a holster on there for sale once and they flagged.

I agree. Some guy is obviously selling his stash. I doubt he went out of his way to get a humidor, dog rockets, then get bands and reband everything. It looks just like any other "Hey I got my humi stocked" post I see on here every few days. He's probably just a regular guy....for all we know he could be a member here. I understand there are crooks out there but everyone is not a crook. And if people want to sell cigars for what some may consider a high price who cares? It's not anyones job to police that. A post comes on here then people will flag the guy or harass him. Who knows, he may need to sell his stash to take care of something very important.

That possibly being buying another $ 200 worth of cheap crap and doing it all over again. CL is becoming too much like Ebay with the pros imitating aunt bee selling her priceless goodies.

Don't know about the cigars, but i bought the exact same humidor from Cheaphumidors for around 70 bucks as it was a scratch and dent and I like it a lot.
