Padron Maduro vs Natural production ??

This question would apply to all the lines. I wonder what % of production is Maduro compared to Natural. It seems like most people here prefer the Maduro. I'm actually smoking my 1st ever 1964 Natural and it's REALLY good, although a bit different than the Maduro taste. My guess would be as high as 75% maduro and 25% natural.

I prefer Natural, never been a big Maduro fan. Took a while for me to figure that out though.

You know what, I may be too. I never gave the Naturals a chance. The cigar seems to be a little more refined and complex, a nice change of pace. It seems like you taste a lot of the wrapper with the Maduro

That's exactly my impression. I also find the natural wrappers to be more aesthetically pleasing to my eye.

Re: Padron Maduro vs Natural production ??

Hell, i haven't even tried A Padron yet, so i can't really tell which one i like better... I come from a world, where ISOM (and meybe ome dominicans) are the thing and only recently have found the rest of the world to be smoked. so, i am still waitin to experience my Padrons, just have to buy the somewhere first...

planning to get both natural and maduro...

Re: Padron Maduro vs Natural production ??

I think many smokers go through a period of time where they prefer maduros, and frequently gravitate back to natural wrappers. I know that when I started to want more flavorful cigars, I went through a stage where everything I smoked was maduro. But now I prefer to find that additional flavor by seeking out more full-bodied cigars that are more complex in taste, complexity that is usually missing in maduros.

Not that I don't smoke maduros at all anymore... I love LGC Serie R cigars in maduro, and PAM's, and Hemingways in maduro too. But I've gravitated away from maduro as an overriding preference.

Funny, I've been noticing this about myself lately...

I prefer the natural to the maduro hands down.

Re: Padron Maduro vs Natural production ??

Normally I prefer natural over maduro for the same reasons others have stated - I think you get a more complex flavor. A lot of maduros seem one dimensional in taste. However, IMO the padron maduro seems to be in a league of its own and taste better than most maduros. The regular Padron is almost as dark as some maduros. They both taste great. I would smoke either one every day if I could find/afford them.

Also retailers charge more for the maduros. This is the only cigar where I have noticed this with.

Re: Padron Maduro vs Natural production ??

I like both and usually I go for a maduro but not in this case. All things being equal I will take the Padron Natural in this battle of the titans. Strange as it's usually the other way around with me.

I am currently in my maduro phase but I am slowly moving back to the natural side, just bought 6 naturals today in fact.
