A word of advice when inhaling JdN Antano

In San Diego this week for business and hoping to attend this weeks S.H.I.T....but unfortunately I won't be able to since I have to get back to the office Thursday morning .
So a co-worker, a few of his friends and myself get together to have a smoke tonight and I pulled out a 6 month old new box of JdN Antano 1970 Belicoso. I brought this with me to share with my new pals at the S.H.I.T, and actually thought about contacting someone and sending them ahead so they'd think of ol' EvanS while smoking on Thursday...but then I thought .

Anyway, we're about 1/3 down on the sticks (right where the spice is peaking) and my co-worker tells a joke. The punch line REALLY got me right as I finished a huge draw on the JdN. He saw me start to exhale and with perfect timing half-punched me in the stomach. Well the next 3 seconds will be seared into my memory forever. Somehow (it all seems so slo-mo now) I instantly inhaled the entire mouthful of smoke....then as I started to exhale, some beer went down the wrong pipe and I started to choke....and then the entire hit of smoke went shooting out thru my nose!!!

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD I thought I was gonna die. I'll spare you all the gory details but man I was in misery for some time afterwards. But all was not lost...a crowd of 5 assholes had a GREAT time at my expense.

Anyway, do not do this......at all costs, just don't. 90 minutes later and I still feel like I swallowed a hornets nest.

p.s. - please excuse any typos in this thread. It's very hard to type when your eyes are bleeding

That was funny! A learning experience indeed. It didn't take inhaling for me to get green off my first JdN. Very stout smoke, but oh so good.

I was talking with him this morning and he really does feel bad. It all started innocent enough and got way out of control. One thing's for sure, this will be the last time I forget my pipe on a trip

only because I've been there, an unexpected lung full of cigar smoke can bring a grown man to tears.

I suggest a macanudo the next time you herf with your bud, you'll have a better chance of survival.
