Signing for CBid Deliveries

Has anyone ever had to sign for the DHL deliveries from CBid?

I was expecting a package yesterday (not my first from CBid ), but it never showed. Checked the tracking site this morning and it said that the consignee was not available and an attempt to deliver next day. I've never had to sign for a delivery from CBid, even for orders MUCH larger than the one I'm expecting. Any ideas you's guys?

I have every thing delivered to the office, someones always there, so I never have a problem, and I don't have to worry about theft.

Wish I could do that, but I work at a client's site and all deliveries go through a processing center that adds days to a delivery...not to mention everything is opened and 'inspected'.

That sucks. I live in an apartment now, but when I lived in a house I had a large plastic container around back and any packages were put in there.

It probably wasn't your regular driver... that's why, call DHL and tell them it's okay to leave.

Re: Signing for CBid Deliveries

If the shipper specifies a delivery signature, you may not be able to waive that with a phone call. Some states now require an 'adult signature' to receive certain items, as well.

Re: Signing for CBid Deliveries

I live in an apartment building & had this happen for the first time with my last shipment... I'm guessing my building manager wasn't in her office so there was noone to sign. It will definitely put a stop to my cbid habit if this is a new requirement. I wonder if switching over to USPS will make a difference?

No, they just always leave them by the side door. Never had any issues with having to sign.

Re: Signing for CBid Deliveries

I think I have to sign for them. It has been a while since I visited that site. I did read a story where a guy had them delivered to him and they had the adult signature sticker on them and it freaked out the delivery woman. She thought he was getting pron. She was much nicer once she found out what they were.

Re: Signing for CBid Deliveries

You can have your signature on file which will substitute even if a sig is required. I have mine on file for UPS, DHL, and FedEx. USPS doesn't allow it.

In the early days all of mine came UPS. Now most singles and fivers come DHL and boxes USPS Priority.

Re: Signing for CBid Deliveries

DHL always leaves the box in front of the door, You might want to call Cbid and ask if they required a signature on the delivery.

Re: Signing for CBid Deliveries

I don't recall ever having to sign for a package from Cbid. Maybe there was some confusion in regards to what DHL thought they were supposed to do.

$h!t happens sometimes. I'm sorry to hear that it happened to you but sooner or later it happens to us all.
