Re: Cigars In The Morning

I actually havent tried a cigar in the morning yet. Usually my first thing I smoke in the morning is my morning cigarette, so that could have a lot to do with it.

I generally prefer something short, complex, and not overpowering. ERDM Choix Supreme and ERDM Demi-Tasse (the 1990s) are always a good choice on the weekend while reading the Sunday paper. That way if I smoke a second cigar my palate won't be trashed.

Re: Cigars In The Morning

I used to smoke all of my cigars at 5 am while parked behind a building and working on my reports. Of course I get up at 3 pm and work till 8 am...But there is nothing better than watching the sun rise and nubbing a good stick. Only a good cocktail would make it better but I'm pretty sure the Sheriff would frown on that

Re: Cigars In The Morning

I like to smoke in the morning on occasion, especially if I've been working all night its great to get home at 9am and smoke a mild stick with coffee. I wouldn't say I do it regularly though.

Re: Cigars In The Morning

I enjoy a morning smoke on the weekends and on my days off. During the week and when I'm working I rarely have the time to really smoke in the morning. Between making sure the dogs are tended to, and getting myself ready, about all I take time for is some coffee and a cigarette. Days off and weekends I'll sit out on the porch with some coffee and a stick and watch the sun come up. A good cigar makes for a good day to come.

Wow...people are so busy these days. I'm glad my body & mind have regressed back to the 1950's era & lifestyle, layed back just watching everyone pass me by.

In my case, I'd say my mind and body have degenerated but I still have a good time. It's great to be semi-retired & the kids grown.

My two girls are here from Omaha and Denver to help me celibrate my 60 year old birthday week. That's right. From now on, I'm taking a week each year. This am, I'm in the shop, smoking a S.P. Double maduro & drinking fresh ground "Black Onyx, Peruvian, endangered aborigine/ rain forest, blah, blah, coffee". This afternoon, more cigars with my son-in-laws along with beer and grilled chicken. And, I get to bond with my grand dogs Tomorrow, fly fishing, hiking, more beer and cigars.

Re: Cigars In The Morning

I have one every morning on my way to work with a cup of coffee. I actually find it pretty nice because I can concentrate on how the burn and taste are evolving. When I smoke at night it with my wife so I spend more time concentrating on our conversation.

Re: Cigars In The Morning

I had my first non-weekend morning smoke the other day. It was refreshing. I was up early and said why not? I may start setting my alarm early once a week.
