I've been thinking about the same thing, but an excellent exhange rate can't make up for a lack of funds.

the canadian dollar will be high for a little while....no sense in goin crazy stocking up stuff that can be had at any time

Realistically it doesnt make much of a difference. A few bucks here and there. Unless your spending thousands its not really a big deal to me.

I was thinking about it - any excuse you know. But are you finding the increase shipping rates to cancel any gains you realize on the exchange side?

people way smarter than me say it will keep rising for the rest of the year and in the fall will be around par with the US$ so buy more than you normal would now might cost you some money.....i myself probably wont change my buying habits much....if i got the money i will spend it...if not then i wont

I am hoping to do a "back to school" shopping trip with the family before September. Either Niagara/Buffalo or Port Huron. I hope the dollar will be still favourable. I bought some in March and April on separate trips to Florida, so I have stock for the summer. Although I keep thinking about some of the others I left in the shops.
