Re: Will my tolerance ever increase????

I smoked cigarettes for 10 years. I quit 6 months ago, and dipped smokeless tobacco up until about 3 months ago.
That said, I never get a nic buzz when smoking a cigar, and I don't want one. Nicotine addiction is serious, and it had me by the balls. I'm so glad I put down cigarettes.
With cigars, I want to enjoy the taste, the ritual, and the social factors involved...not the nicotine. Sure it's part of cigars, but I smoke slow (probably one draw a minute or so) and I NEVER inhale. The stogie is never in my mouth unless I'm pulling a draw.
I remember how it feels to be tied down to nicotine...
I anticipate a good cigar, but I don't have to have one like I did a cigarette.
For me, I want cigars to be a fun hobby, not an addiction.

Tell ya the truth I wish I could find a cigar that does give me a nicotine buzz! I've smoked cigarettes for 4 years now so I think that has a lot to do with it, but still I have yet to find a cigar that gives me a buzz (granted I've been smoking for a few weeks, but still.)

Cigarettes ..........yuck.

Just make sure you eat or drink before you smoke and you should be fine.

Eventually your body will build up a tolerance and you will not get the upset feeling when you smoke.

Depends on what you smoke. I fresh Opus X on an empty stomach should give you a pretty damn good buzz.

I'm with you though. I've been smoking 5-10 cigars a day for about 5 years now and rarely feel a nicotine buzz. Fresh opus was about the closest I've come to it.

Yeah if I could find an Opus I would get one! Until then though looks like I'm just going to have to live without a buzz .

Your tolerance would probably increase,
but I'd strongly advise against it starting ciggarette smoking.

As much as I love them , my Marlboro's really cross the line of a hobby to an addiction.
Stick with the cigars; plus, they are much better for you.

Re: Will my tolerance ever increase????

I'm sorry, but a cigar with no buzz leaves me unfulfilled. The nicotine rush is an integral part of the whole experience. I never experience any nausea, though, maybe because of a higher tolerance from smoking cigarettes for 35 years (no, I don't recommend starting a cigarette habit).

Re: Will my tolerance ever increase????

well, I tried eating nicotine patches but they were kinda chewy so I sauteed them with some chopped garlic and olive oil with a white wine sauce and it wasn't too bad. I still don't have a tolerance though
